Our Story

We’re Kyle and Scott, college pals who recently reconnected after nearly 30 years. After comparing notes of the last three decades, we found a common thread around mental health and brain disorders. 

We quickly agreed that we’re living in an unprecedented time of both struggle and opportunity. Within months of this reunion, we founded STITCHED-OUT™ to provide the millions of people living with 

mental health challenges a way to proudly express – not hide from – their disease or affliction. 

We know from our own life experiences the importance of proactively communicating mental health issues, rather than retreating to the corners of isolation or succumbing to stigma and prejudice.

Our Brand

We believe the STITCHED-OUT logo is a badge of honor. Wear it proudly to show the mental health challenge or disease you’re fighting. 

Or wear it to acknowledge a friend or family member who is dealing

with a disease of the brain.

The word “stitched” is purposeful and meaningful. First, stitches are visible and hard to ignore. And that’s the point. Second, they reflect that mental health issues can cut a wound deep enough requiring 

repair. But they also represent healing and a sense that you’re on the mend. Third, stitches usually leave a scar, and that’s OK. Scars persist as a reminder that mental health issues can stay with us and often 

need ongoing support.

The word “out” is equally purposeful. The first step toward recovery is having the courage to come out... to socialize your struggles, embrace them, and work with others to manage mental illness. 

When you’re “stitched out,” you’re declaring without hesitation that you’re not afraid to show the world what’s up.

Our Cause

We donate a percentage of every sale to one of our approved mental health partners. That means YOU are also giving back to the organizations working hard to find new treatments and support mechanisms for people everywhere. 

Together, we pay it forward and enable a broader ecosystem of mental health resources.
